North Western Railway Sports Association, Indian Railway has invited application from the eligible candidates for 21 posts of Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Cross Country, Cycling, Kabaddi, Power Lifting, Shooting, Table Tennis. Selection of candidates will be based on their achievements in relevant sports, educational qualification, general intelligence, personality, game skills, physical fitness and observations of coach & trial committee during trial and Interview. Discipline wise vacancies:

1. Archery: 03 posts (Men-02, Women-01)
2. thletics: 02 posts (Men-01, Women-01)
3. Badminton: 02 posts (Men-02)
4. Boxing: 01 post (Men-01)
5. Cross Country: 02 posts (Men-01, Women-01)
6. Cycling: 01 posts (Men-01)
7. Kabaddi: 04 posts (Men)
8. Power Lifting: 02 posts (Men-01, Women-01)
9. Shooting: 02 posts (Men-01, Women-01)
10. Table Tennis: 02 posts (Men-02)

Educational Qualification:

Graduate or its equivalent by a recognized university.

Sports Achievements – Eligibility Norms:

i) Represented the Country in Olympic Games (Senior category) OR

ii) Obtained at least 3rd position by representing the Country in the World Cup (Junior / Senior) World Championships (Junior/Senior)/Asian Games (Senior) / Commonwealth Games (Senior), except Gold Medal in Asian Games.

OR

12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent by a recognized board of education.

Sports Achievements – Eligibility Norms:

i) Represented the Country in the World Cup (Junior/ Senior), World Championships (Junior/Senior), Asian Games (Senior) & Commonwealth Games (Senior) OR

ii) Represented the country and obtained at least 3rd position in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior) / Asian Championship/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior)/South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior), USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior category) OR

iii) Represented a State or equivalent unit and obtained at least 3rd Position in Senior / Youth/Junior National Championships OR

iv) Represented a State and obtained at least 3rd position in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association OR

v) Represented a University and Obtained at least 3rd Position in All India Inter University

Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities OR

vi) Obtained 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (senior category).

Note:

Sportsperson who have acquired the sports achievements – eligibility norms in the championship on or after 01/04/2015 and are active will be eligible to apply for appointment against Sports Quota.

Age Limit:

Minimum -18 years and maximum -25 years as on 01/01/2018.

How To Selection:

Selection of candidates will be based on their achievements in relevant sports, educational qualification, general intelligence, personality, game skills, physical fitness and observations of coach & trial committee during trial and Interview.

Application Fee:

Candidates must pay Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- SC/ST/Women/Minorities and Economic Backward Classes) as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Demand Draft / Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of North Western Railway Sports Association, payable at Jaipur/G.P.O.

Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See Link below) along with attested copies of testimonials in support of Educational Qualification, Caste, Age, Experience certificate (if applicable) and any other relevant documents.

Note: Candidate applying for more than one game/event shall submit separate applications with separate DD/IPO as fee and documents for each event.

The envelope containing the print-out/enclosures should be superscribed on top with — “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2017-18”

Last Date  of application submission on or before 18.09.2017 For All State, Except candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep should reached by 03.10.2017.
