2. Head Constable (Radio Operator): 470 Posts [UR-353, OBC-30, SC-52 & ST-65 ].

Educational Qualification:
Applicants those who are applying for the Posts of Asst Sub Insp. (RM) should have passed Matric with 3 year Diploma in Radio & TV Technology/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Computer/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering/ Domestic Appliances from any institution recognised by the Central Government/ State Government and for the Posts of Head Constable (Radio Operator) should have passed Matriculation/ equivalent & 2 year Industrial Training Institute Certificate in Radio & TV/ Electronics/ Intermediate/ l0+2/ equivalent with physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from a recognised Board or Institution.

Age Limit: 18-25 Years & Age Relaxation is applicable for different categories as per the rules of the Government.

Application Fee:
Applicants are required to pay the application fee of Rs. 50/- for general & OBC by means of demand Draft drawn in favour of Inspector General/ DIG/ Comdt payable at respective SBI/ post office. However there is no application fee for SC/ ST/ BSF serving personnel & female candidates.

Selection Procedure:
Candidates' selection will be made on the basis of two phases
1. First Phase:
a. Written Examination (OMR Based Screening Test)
b. Descriptive Test
2. Second Phase:
a. Preliminary Screening Test
b. Physical Efficiency Test
c. Verification of Original Documents
d. Final Medical Examination by BSF Medical Officer
