Public Service Commission, West Bengal (WBPSC) has published
recruitment notification 2016 and Advt. No.14/2016. Invited online
applications from the eligible candidates for filling up the recruitment
of Assistant Curator, Agricultural Marketing Officer, Botanist and
Scientific Officer vacancies. The posts are temporary but likely to be
permanent (except Scientific Officer). For Scientific Officer post are
permanent.Eligible interested Candidates can apply in the prescribed
format through online registration start from 24.05.16 to 15.06.16 .

Pay Scale :
For Scientific Officer Post -> PB-4 Rs. 9,000/- - Rs. 40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,400/-
For all other posts -> PB-4 Rs. 9,000/- - Rs. 40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,700/-
Educational Qualification and Experience:
Assistant Curator:
(a) B.A. or B.Sc. with Musicology or Chemistry from an institute recognised by the University Grants Commission. (OR) M.A. or M.Sc. in Musicology from an institute recognised by the University Grants Commission.
(b) One year's experience in administration of a museum of repute or documentation of museum objects of a museum of repute.
(c) Certificate / Diploma in the French Language.
(d) Elementary knowledge in Computer operation with the ability of typing on computer in both English and Bengali.
Agricultural Marketing Officer (Training & Canning):
(a) A degree in Food Technology/ Food Technology and Biochemical Engineering or equivalent qualifications from arecognised University/ Institute, (OR)
(b) B.Sc. degree from a recognized University/ Institute, (AND)
(c) Training in Fruit Preservation/ Fruit Processing at Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore/ Bangalore or any other Government or Government Organized Institution or five years' experience in a Fruit Preservation or Processing Factory of repute or Training Centre under Government, and
(d) Knowledge of Bengali/ Nepali - Spoken and Written.
(e) Desirable - Teaching experience in a Food Processing Institution.
Agricultural Marketing Officer (Jute Grading):
(a) B.Sc. with Agriculture or B.Sc. with Diploma in Jute Technology from a recognised University or Institute or B.Sc. from a recognized University (with)
(b) 2 years' experience in Jute Grading works under an organisation of repute dealing with Jute Marketing or under a licensed Baler.
Botanist:
(a) A Master's Degree in Botany or Agriculture from a recognised University/ Institute;
(b) One year's research experience in Genetic and Breeding Physiology/ Pharmacognosy, preferably relating to Medicinal & Aromatic Plants.
Scientific Officer:
(a) A second class Master's degree in Chemistry from a recognised University or equivalent and Two years' experience of analytical methods and research; (OR)
(b) A degree in science with Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognised University or equivalent and Five years' experience in Forensic Chemistry.

Rs. 160/- only + Service Charge 1% of Examination Fee subject to a minimum of Rs.5/- for online payment through debit/credit card plus 12.36% of service charge as Govt. Duty or Service Charge of Rs. 5/- only for Net Banking or Service Charge of Rs. 20/- only for payment through Bank counter (off-line payment).
